By trade I’m a nurse practitioner, by heart I’m a wannabe traveler. How many people out there have missed out on travel because of various forms of worry or anxiety? Maybe it’s a fear of flying, an inability to make planning decisions, or maybe it’s a mobility issue. I may not be able to help with a fear of flying (emergency medicine is my jam, not psychology), but I am certainly hoping this blog will help with relieving some worry and anxiety for those who would like to travel and may have decreased mobility. As someone who has many friends and family members with various types of mobility issues, I have seen missed opportunities that just didn’t have to happen. I am hoping that these write ups will help breakdown some of the good, the bad and the beauty of the places we go. My husband and I live in North Texas with our 2 small kids and a 16 yo Boston Terrier and most of our travels are here in TX. Two small kids and a geriatric dog on Prozac and seizure meds somewhat limits our travel radius these days. I hope this will be just one more thing that will add confidence to get out there, make planning easier, and in the words of an Iconic Texan, keep “L.I.V.I.N!”
